If you buy a paper book you own it. You can read it, give it to a friend or sell it. This is not true of ebook services in general. Services such as Amazon kindle give you the 'right' to read a book, but that's it. You don't own it. You can't give it to a friend or sell it.
Bookminter changes that. It brings traditional book ownership to ebooks. Using the Solana blockchain books are represented by NFTs. If you own the NFT, you own the book. You can read it, collect it, gift it, sell it. Only the NFT owner can read the book.
Authors benefit too. Every time a bookminter NFT is resold, they receive a royalty. It also gives the authors another way to connect with their readers, offering exclusive content and limited editions.
